Brian K. Hilton has been in the education field as an historical interpreter and a teacher for the past 17 years. Brian, who has worked as an interpreter at the Mount Vernon Estate for over ten years, has been described by a colleague as “one of the most esteemed historical interpreters at Mount Vernon.” Brian has taught at the middle and high school levels at St. John’s College High School and Fairfax County Public Schools. He currently teaches at a private school in Richmond. Brian’s ability to educate, excite, and entertain his audiences has led to numerous honors.
Brian’s passion for American history is displayed through his character interpretations of several distinguished Americans – Colonel George Washington, John F. Kennedy, and Woodrow Wilson – which he has presented to many groups and organizations. He has performed and educated audiences at many locations – the White House, Mount Vernon, the Lyceum in Alexandria, VA, and the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum.
